Minimum Coordinate Differences Between SPCS2022 and Overlapping SPCS2022 Zones
Last Updated 6/1/2026
- Differences are computed to 100 m precision using a floor function.
- In cases where SPCS2022 zones overlap with multiple SPCS2022 zones, the one with the minimum horizontal distance is given.
- SPCS2022 Policy requires that SPCS2022 coordinates differ by at least 10,000 m horizontally from other overlapping SPCS2022 zones.
- Blank fields occur where a difference does not exist, for example when comparing a multizone complete coverage zone to itself.
- Per SPCS2022 Procedures, for zone abbreviations the state abbreviation can be separated from the zone part by a space or underscore. An underscore is used here to aid in filtering records.
