Help Review and Improve the NSRS Tools
Welcome to the beta release of the Modernized NSRS tools. These preliminary products are available for public testing and evaluation and are not yet final or official.
We need your feedback to ensure these tools are accurate, reliable, and ready for operational use. Please test them with your own data and workflows and let us know about any issues you encounter, including file or syntax errors, unexpected computational results, API failures, usability concerns, or other observations. Every report helps us improve the final release.
Send your feedback to ngs.feedback@noaa.gov.
Submit FeedbackBETA Data Delivery System
Information about geodetic marks and stations stored in the National Geodetic Survey's NSRS Database can be accessed and displayed in various ways through the Data Delivery System (DDS). The DDS is an innovative and interactive platform with established protocols for data delivery and display across different platforms.
Beta Modernized NGS Map
The Beta Modernized National Geodetic Survey Map is an ArcGIS Online Experience Builder Application that enables users to view multiple datasets provided by the National Geodetic Survey.
Beta NGS Map
This Web Map Application presents two NGS datasets to explore with a map. You can find more information for these datasets by visiting their ArcGIS Online (AGOL) Feature Services.
This application not only allows users to plot these datasets and interact with the features to view attributes but provides many other features including: a search tool, a measure tool, basemap selector, a feature selection and exporting tool and an attribute table to view and filter attributes.
AGOL Feature Services
The instructions web page and the tutorial videos have been created to help users learn about all of the features available with this new Web Map Application.
Instructions Video TutorialBeta Geodetic Marks Page
The Geodetic Mark Page (GMP) provides NSRS coordinates and metadata on marks. A dynamic publishability filter within the DDS generates the GMP on the fly, based on specific categories and criteria. The system provides mark information by inputting a Permanent Identifier (PID). The GMP displays different types of NSRS coordinates, including Reference Epoch (REC), Reported, Geopotential, OPUS and Projected coordinates. Additionally, it includes accuracy estimates, mark information (metadata), photos, a map, and descriptions. Finally, the GMP allows users to export the information in various formats, such as PDF, CSV, JSON, and Text.
Beta Geodetic Stations Page
The Geodetic Station Page (GSP) provides NSRS coordinate functions and metadata on stations in the NOAA CORS Network (NCN). The page allows users to access a station's coordinate function, including its coordinates, velocities, periodic and post-seismic deformation parameters, as well as detailed metadata, equipment history, and photos. The page provides position, residual and quality control plots for each station, and it enables data downloads for record-keeping and analysis.
